THE
TRAVELLING / THE
PARTICIPANTS
It is made up of daily stages whilst in
Morocco covering a variety of terrain with high mountain passes,
dunes and rocky desert routes. Routes are selected based on
participant interests, capabilities and requirements but would
normally be tarmac or piste with off road sections for suitable
vehicles.
The
traveller will find all these factors combining to produce a
challenging, exciting, within capability, feast for the
senses.
Safe, courteous participation with respect for the
inhabitants, the environment, the vehicle and other travellers is
the order of the day.
For safety and security travelling away
from the established roads/trails in Morocco must always be as
part of a group.
THE
PARTICIPANTS
The
adventurer can drive/ride any type of vehicle 4x4, bike, car or
simply ride in an organisation group vehicle even walk.
A variety of different routes are available dependent on capabilities and individual requirements. Owner Vehicles must be registered, insured, acceptable to vehicle recovery insurers, in sound condition and regularly serviced with good tyres and two spares.
The adventure requires the
carrying of additional equipment necessitating some thought to the
loading and weight carried in relation to vehicle / 
individual
capabilities. As a guide-line the vehicle should only be loaded to
2/3 of the published payload to allow adequate performance with
any loading kept as aerodynamic as possible. This means around 10
kilos of baggage per individual.
